Question 2 -How does your media product represent particular social groups? (gender, age, sexuality, ethnicity etc)

Question 3 -What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why? (Studio, TV, Web, DVD)

Question 4 -Who would be the audience for your media product?

Wordle: ANDREWS WORDLE

Our media product is mainly aimed at teenagers. This is due to the fact that the actual clip only showed teenagers, and it was a "teenage crime situation". The scene was very realistic. Some teenagers may know what it's like to be in either one of those positions, whether it is the person chasing the boy, or the boy being chased. As awful as it is, situations like this are going on all over the world, so a lot of people will be able to relate to the scenario. The fact that there was three hoodies chasing the one boy, is highlighting gang crime. They were purposely asked to wear hoodies to carry out the stereotype of all hoodies being criminals. We thought this would be a good idea because it would get the message across to the audience a lot quicker. As soon as you see the chase, you straight away know that they mean no good because they have their hoods up. From the audience's point of view, you will feel like your watching it from Andrew Maloneys' (the boy who's being chased (me)) point of view. So in conclusion, the extract is mainly aimed at teenagers because it is only involving teenagers. There are no adults in the clip. However, all genres and ages will find the clip interesting.

Question 6 -What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

I have learnt a great deal about media this past year, the majority of that being the technology side of things. For example things like the actual filming, editing, evaluating my work and the preparation we had to carry out. I think i enjoyed the editing side of things the most, as it is vital to get it right to create that final product. I am now comfortable working with Apple Macs and digital cameras. The filming itself only took a hour and 30 minutes, and the editing took roughly 45 minutes. However the evaluation and preparation took a few weeks altogether. Overall i have enjoyed the experience and i have no doubt it will help me in my future.

Main accessories i have used are digital cameras, apple macs, i also used my iPhone to carry out some tasks on my blog and complete some blog entries. Websites i have used throughout this course are sites such as Sliderocket, Slideshare, Prezi, i have become a lot more comfortable with using YouTube, and also Wordle. All of these websites have been easy to use, quick to sign up to and very straight forward.

All of which have helped my display my answers in different techniques to make it more interesting to look at and to read, as opposed to if they were all in paragraphs. All in all i feel like i have become very comfortable with using these websites and will not hesitate to do so again.

Question 7 -Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the product?
